Pricing

Trees by Design creations are unique and highly detailed, with each one being "hand-drawn" on the computer. We use no templates, and each tree is created from scratch, designed in partnership with you. Because each design is unique, please consider the following fees as a guide. An exact fee for your custom family tree will be determined after meeting and discussing your particular situation and design.

BASIC FAMILY TREE   This tree includes your name/date scrolls with all your genealogical content, marriage ribbons, connecting lines, a "simple" background, a decorative border, and possibly one or more photos (for restored photos, see below). For a finished family tree with up to 20 name/date scrolls ---- $500.00.
If there are more than 20 name/date scrolls, please add $10.00 per scroll.

DELUXE FAMILY TREE   Additional items on a deluxe family tree may include custom background (maps, designs, photo montages, etc.), photo montage borders, original illustrations or artwork, photos restored by Trees by Design, or custom family crests created by Trees by Design. Pricing to include these additional elements will be determined after consultation.

All Trees by Design creations include your professionally printed family tree ready for framing, with high-resolution electronic image files in PDF format delivered on a CD. Costs per print depend upon the size of the finished artwork. As a guideline, an 18" x 24" full color print on matte paper usually costs about $30.00 per print. Trees by Design will provide a first proof free of charge once your design has been finalized and is ready for your approval. The fee for a second proof, if one is needed, is $10.00. If subsequent proofs are needed they will be charged at the full price of each print.

FAMILY CRESTS (also called Coats of Arms) (we must have an existing "reference" family crest to work from)  Accurately rendered family crest for your surname utilizing all official heraldic symbols, shields, charges, colors, etc. Cost will include one print and a high-resolution electronic image file in PDF format delivered on a CD ---- $250.00--$500.00 for finished art (most family crests can be completed for $250.00).

PHOTO RESTORATION   Digital photo restoration and manipulation of images are charged at $25.00/hour. All original photos will be scanned and the originals returned as quickly as possible to you. Quotes for all restoration of single or multiple photos will be provided after consultation.
